Perfect for a town and country break: you can wander the streets of this fairy tale city, dine on fish that’s been landed on the quayside that day and cram masses of dazzling experiences into a day guided out to and through the Geirangerfjord.

PRE-BOOKABLE EXCURSION

Ona & Ona Lighthouse and fish soup supper. Boat trip to the small island of Ona in the open ocean, visit the lighthouse and see the small community with only 50 inhabitants Fish soup supper is included. Saturday departure at 19.30, 4 hours. £60 pp.

DAY 1 UK – ÅLESUND Scheduled SAS flight(s) to Ålesund. Self transfer to your chosen accommodation in Ålesund.
DAY 2 ÅLESUND ‘Hop on and off’ sightseeing by boat including visits to the world famous woollen clothing factory Devold and Sunnmøre open air museum. Optional evening boat tour to Ona & Ona lighthouse fish soup supper included.
DAY 3 FJORD MAGIC with one scenic or cultural experience after the other. Depart Ålesund by catamaran to the picturesque towns of Molde and Åndalsnes, continue by bus on the ‘Troll Road’, Trollstigen, (lunch) across the mountain and through the valley to Valldal and Linge. Ferry to Eidsdal and further on by bus through the valley and descend via the ‘Eagles Road’, Ornevegen’ to Geiranger by the fjord. Continue by boat down the amazingly narrow and stunningly beautiful Geirangerfjord to Hellesylt where the journey continues by bus to Øye and Leknes ferry along Horundfjord to Magerholm and bus back to Ålesund
DAY 4 ÅLESUND Day at leisure before evening flight back to the UK
