Drive down the valleys, alongside the fjords and over the mountains, to
get ‘up close and personal’ with Norway’s best attractions. You will
find our motoring itineraries full of contrasts, awe inspiring sites and
welcoming hospitality all made easy.
Our routes are chosen for both scenic content, easily doable driving
distances and opportunities for excursions both en-route and at
stop-over points. Each tour has at least 3 two night stops to ensure a
relaxing holiday. All accommodation is at superior class hotels
including half board other than in Bergen.

FJORDS AND LAKES
DAY 1 UK – BERGEN Scheduled SAS flight(s) to Bergen. Collect hire car. Overnight Hotel Strand.
DAY 2 BERGEN – VOSS Take the funicular for the view from Mount Floyen; explore the winding streets of Old Bergen and perhaps choose your lunch at the Fish Market before driving to Voss (99 km). Two overnights at Park Hotel.
DAY 3 VOSS At leisure. Enjoy the dramatic Flam Mountain Railway and cruise the Aurland and Naeroy Fjords.
DAY 4 VOSS – BALESTRAND Drive to Balestrand (95 km + ferry). A journey of contrasts: across the Vik Mountains, down to Vik and Hopperstad Stave Church, by ferry across to Dragsvik and a short drive to Balestrand for two overnights at Midtnes Pension.
DAY 5 SOGNEFJORD We think Balestrand is Norway’s ‘Jewel in the Crown’. If you can tear yourself away, visit the Fjaerland Glacier or drive along to Solvorn and Urnes Stave Church or alongside Lake Jolster.
DAY 6 BALESTRAND – LOEN Drive to Loen (125 km). Through the Barddal Valley, then along by Lake Jolster and up alongside the Briksdal Glacier. Two overnights at Hotel Alexandra.
DAY 7 LOEN A day of agonising choices. Drive up to the Geiranger Fjord and its spectacular waterfalls; take a trip to the Kjendal Glacier or to the Briksdal Glacier or visit Aalesund with its fascinating art nouveau buildings.
DAY 8 LOEN – UK Drive back to Bergen (290 km & ferry), along the Nordfjord to Byrkjelo, then down to the ferry at Oppedal and onward to Bergen airport. Return hire car before return flight to UK.
