HOLIDAYS TO SWEDEN

In summer Sweden enjoys up to nineteen hours of daylight and the weather
is frequently sunnier and drier than the UK. The Swedish countryside
stretches from beech wood fringed sandy beaches in Skane north to ivory
topped mountains imperiously guarding their pine and spruce forests.
Clear, open roads meander through softly undulating meadows, past lakes
and tiny villages marked by church spires, making driving along Sweden's
roads a relaxed and scenic experience.
In winter the celebrated Ice Hotel opens its doors and Swedish Lapland
is carpeted with snow providing trails for husky mushing; tracks along
frozen rivers for snowmobiling and fairytale grazing grounds for
reindeer and moose. You can stay in one of the Ice Hotel's exquisitely
sculpted designer rooms, combine a stay there with whale watching over
on the Lofoten archipelago or husky mushing in the open tundra by
Jukkasjarvi. Adventures are enjoyed under a canopy of stars and the
Northern Lights (hopefully).
