Make even more of your time at the Ice Hotel with an excursion in the surrounding countryside - the historic habitat of the Sami people. Here they traditionally hunted for grouse, fished for salmon or char and sledged across a landscape with only bears, capercaillies and occasionally the Northern Lights, for company.

We offer a choice of additional excursions, some of which can be included in the afternoon of Day 3 on our 'Classic Weekend Break' and others arranged on our 'Weekday Safari' to provide you with a "tailor-made programme" for your three days in Lapland. These excursions can be booked at the time of booking your main arrangement

All snowmobile tours are based on 2 persons sharing one snowmobile. Supplements are payable for sole use - details available on request.

AA02: HUSKY SAFARI

Travel along a 13 km trail through the surrounding forest with only the swish of the sled’s runners to be heard. En route, stop for coffee and cake by an open fire.  

AA03: HUSKY SAFARI

A four hour husky safari along 28 km of marked trails in the surrounding wilderness. A stop for a traditional Sami lunch by an open fire is included before returning to Jukkasjarvi.

Start your visit to the Ice Hotel with a very special and unique form of airport transfer! On arrival, you will be kitted out with protective thermal clothing and your luggage taken separately to the hotel, whilst you enjoy your first taste of the tranquil Sami landscapes on husky sled.
