WEDDINGS AT KAKSLAUTTANEN

Kakslauttanen is probably Finnish Lapland’s most exquisite collection of log cabins and the giant one at its centre unique in every respect. You’re taken by reindeer sleigh tended by a herder liveried in traditional Sami costume to the Ice Gallery for your wedding ceremony, whilst your wedding dinner is being prepared in front of an open fire. The magic is completed with your honeymoon night spent in the honeymoon snow igloo.

DAY 1 Scheduled Finnair flight(s) to Ivalo in Finnish Lapland via Helsinki. Private transfer to Hotel Kakslauttanen, check into your log cabin, with its own fireplace and sauna, before dinner in the hotel. 

DAY 2 Breakfast in the hotel and day at leisure to acclimatise to, and soak up, the magic of this very special place. Dinner in hotel and overnight in log cabin. 

DAY 3 Breakfast in the hotel. The morning is set aside for you to prepare for your special moment – the wedding itself – in the romantic setting of the hand-sculpted Ice Gallery in the grounds of the hotel’s Igloo Village. At the appointed hour, you are taken by a Lapp guide in traditional costume to the Ice Gallery in a sleigh pulled by reindeer. In the evening, a special wedding dinner is prepared for you, in front of the hotel’s open fire, before your wedding night in the Honeymoon Igloo in the Ice Gallery. 

DAY 4 Morning sauna before breakfast in the hotel. Day at leisure with time either just to relax or perhaps enjoy a snowmobile, husky or reindeer safari. 

DAY 5 Breakfast and time at leisure before transfer to Ivalo and return flight(s), via Helsinki, back to London.
