Fly up high over the Arctic Circle for a couple of days’ whale spotting, a taste of Norway's picturesque Lofoten Islands and hopefully the Northern Lights overhead. In nearby Tysfjord are the winter feeding grounds of numerous pods of Orcas, over flown by herring gulls and sea eagles whilst onshore are some of the finest fish restaurants in the world.

Marine biologists remain baffled as to why Orca pods began to migrate up to the Tysefjord (which lies between the Lofoten archipelago and Norwegian mainland) but migrate they do, in literally their hundreds to feed off the herring in the fjord between October and January. Our tour bases you in Svolvaer in the heart of the island’s fishing community so as to enjoy some of the best fish you’ll ever eat; savour the unique Lofoten charm and whale spot by day.
